Dr. Park is an ENT, Head and Neck reconstructive surgeon who strives to provide high-quality ENT, Head and Neck surgical services. His training took place in Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland and USA. He provides all general ENT services as well as head and neck cancer, thyroid/parathyroid, head and neck skin cancer and reconstructive surgeries.
He completed his dental degree in New Zealand and worked as a general dentist in Queensland for 3 years during his interest in the management of head and neck cancer patients grew. Following this, he completed his medical degree in Western Australia. His formal training in ENT surgery took place in Adelaide and Brisbane following a brief stint in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery on Gold Coast. He moved to Toowoomba in 2021 with his family to work as a locum ENT surgeon for 6 months during which he and his family enjoyed the lifestyle immensely.
Following his stint in Toowoomba, he moved to USA with his family to undertake his Head and Neck Cancer and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship in Michigan (matched through the American Head and Neck Society after passing the American Licencing Exams and going through vigorous application processes). During his fellowship, he was exposed to all aspects of head and neck cancer ablative and reconstructive surgeries as well as thyroid/parathyroid and Trans-Oral Robotic surgeries in Karmanos Cancer Institute, the only NCI-designated cancer institute and one of the highest-volume head and neck surgical units in Michigan, USA. Through working in major high-volume head and neck cancer centres such as Royal Perth Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital, Royal Brisbane Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Gold Coast Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital as well as Karmanos Cancer Institute along with undertaking observerships in multiple major head and neck cancer hospitals in USA and Canada, Dr. Park is able to provide complex head and neck ablative and reconstructive including free flap tissue transfer surgery and Transoral Robotic Surgery to Darling Downs and surrounding area residents.
He is a member of the Toowoomba Head and Neck Cancer and Thyroid MDTs.
Dr. Park is passionate about teaching and involved in registrar as well as resident/intern teaching at the Toowoomba Base Hospital. He is married with two children and nothing brings more joy than spending time with family while not working.
